Ragnar’s method of execution in #Vikings has go to be the longest period of time from drop to fruition that I have ever seen for a Chekov’s gun.

That was well done. Someone in the party needs to get her in front of cameras with the media more often so she can bring that kind of fire to Democratic messaging.

Few politicians are able to pull this off, and this is one of several reasons why I believe Rep. Jasmine Crockett could've defeated Ted Cruz.

#DoorDash can officially kiss my ass. Not because my order go lost somewhere between the app and the store. That happens, and they refunded my money. What pisses me off is that customer service gave me no way to make the Dasher whole for the tip she’s getting fucked out of.

Age is only a number. Biden's accomplishments these past 3 years speak for themselves. He has been the man for this hour. The calm amidst the storm. The guiding light out of the darkness intent on destroying our democracy. He will have my vote in 2024.

And BTW, here's the chart that was *not* shown on the Post's front page. Because of the covid year (and his shitty handling of it) TFG had almost zero job growth. But even before then, growth each year he was in office is minuscule compared to each of Biden's years.
Professor Kyle @blackcatprose
Tell me there isn't an editorial bias at WaPo – and in main stream media in general. The 1st chart in this article is the most important one – showing the Biden years with far, far more jobs created than during TFG. But on the front page the only charts they show are negative for Biden.

The Netenyahu government has counted on, and received, unconditional and almost unquestioning support from the US government for far too long.

Hamas needs to be wiped out. No question. But Israel also needs different leadership. The Israeli and Palestinian people both deserve better.
Jerry Wechsler @Babouc
WaPo analyzed imagery of Gaza:
"The evidence shows that Israel has carried out its war in Gaza at a pace and level of devastation that likely exceeds any recent conflict, destroying more buildings, in far less time, than were destroyed during the Syrian regime’s battle for Aleppo from 2013 to 2016

It never fails. Talk about something women deal with, and you get the inevitable “what about the men” reply. Not every conversation has to be about all y’all, and it’s rude as Hel to walk into a discussion and try to make it all about you. If you need attention so badly, may I suggest a puppy?
JRob Grave @JRobGrave
Oh, let's not kid ourselves! Yes, women likely suffer this at a greater rate. But men of a certain age are nearly-invisible. That's my experience. People of a certain age become invisible.

So, I’m watching season 9 of #TheBlacklist , and I have to say, this feels superfluous. They had a good Grecian tragedy thing going on that seems to reach its natural conclusion with season 8’s finale. This feels like milking a dead horse.

(Yes, the mixed metaphor was intentional.)

I know there’s a tendency for women to become invisible as we age and lose our looks, but I think that has as much to do with how women have been conditioned than anything else. We are taught to walk small. At 50, I am discovering that if I am willing to take up space, it’s impossible to ignore me

I am often cognizant of how certain actions will impact the value of my home, but that is only because of the role it will play in my retirement. By then, of course, I will have lived here for 25+ years. So the most important factor in my choices is always how it feels to live here.
Anthony Lee @AnthonyLee
I do not like the idea of purchasing a home just to sell it later for a profit, with little to no time actually spent living in it. A home is a necessity for shelter and should not be seen as an investment opportunity. This is especially important as lots of people need shelter right now.

thread 3 Threaded Spouts
Everyone deals with grief in their own way, and that’s okay. I have been reminding myself of that today.

We have an appointment with the vet later today, and the result will likely be that one of our kitties will be gently aided across the Rainbow Bridge.

It initially felt strange to me that
