The media coverage of the dominion settlement is trying hard to paint this as a win. It’s not. Fox won. No accountability. There will be no change in their behavior. The country lost a fight we couldn’t afford to lose.

I’m so disappointed in the dominion settlement. Glad they got their money but they needed to include every host having to state that they lied, at the top of their show, every night, until the next presidential election. This is what the country needed. It was far more important than money.

Repubs are against universal healthcare,immigration, abortion, education, the minimum wage and child labor laws. It’s all connected. They want a cheap labor force working at their donors’ factories/farms/biz. Poor, uneducated, whites who will be desperate to take any low pay/no benefits job.

When Dominion wins against Fox… dems need to respond by pushing for a new Fairness Doctrine - codified into law… that requires any ”news” show airing in the USA to apply for a license which requires them to be truthful, have reasonable debates with qualified guests. No more lies and theatrics.

Republicans aren’t trying to expand their base bc when they get into power, they don’t plan on having elections again. So they don’t need to appeal to voters bc elections/democracy are just a temporary inconvenience on their path to a dictatorship.

Elon walked away from OpenAI a few years ago. In the last couple of months, a bunch of AI apps have proven that AI is now a part of our daily lives. So Elon (and others) write a letter wanting a pause in AI development bc they have concerns. 😭 His only concern is that he wasn’t properly invested.

As an artist, I love nfts. With a painting, I decide the canvas size. With the nft, I sell the digital art file and the buyer gets to decide the size and display: digital frame/tv or they can print it on canvas, wood, metal, tote bag, t-shirt, pillowcase etc.

Loving this app as an alt to the bird. But it’s clunky. Elon fired all the devs and made the code open source wanting open source devs to work for free. Spout could go open source and actually pay the devs! And end up with the better app fast.

It used to be a moral code that the older generations made things better for their kids. But Gen X got stuck with Silent/Bommers and we didn’t have the numbers to vote them out. So I am loving that Millennials & Gen Z are becoming a reliable voting block. Been waiting decades for this!
