I'm supposed to appear at a bookfair this weekend, but I'm going to be having my daughter cover my table and just say hi to people via Facetime.

It's cause I'm immunocompromised from chemo and living in anti-mask hell, and not cause I'm bald as a pear and feeling ugly.

It seems silly, but watching my hair falling out all over is depressing. I've made an appointment with a stylist on Thursday to just shave my head and get it over with. It's better to rip the band-aid off all at once maybe?

I've been in the hospital for almost a week now. The side effects from chemo didn't go so well for me, so I'm sitting here in isolation and on antibiotics for a UTI that reared its ugly head outta nowhere.

I have no idea how long this will last. Please send cute animal pictures etc.

It looks like I'm going to be starting chemo on Tuesday. I'll probably have to shave my head soon afterward.

I've been tempted to ask if anyone would like to contribute toward funds for getting me a wig or two, but I'm pretty sure everyone I know is too broke to donate.

I'm trying hard to stay hopeful, even though I'm terrified. Being told you have stage 4 #cancer will do that to you. I have to go and see a surgeon on Monday about having a port put in so that I can start chemo ASAP. Good thoughts and/or prayers would be appreciated.

We finally found some pickles from Tony Packo's in the store again for the first time in forever. I just had 4 slices with dinner. The Sweet Hots are my favorite, but wow did I ever forget just how spicy they are. It sneaks up on you after a minute.

I'm sorry that I've been quiet the last couple of weeks. I've just had my worst fears confirmed. My cancer has returned. I won't know what if any treatment options are available to me until I get to see my oncologist on July 5th. Prayers would be appreciated.
