did i enjoy it? it's like reading an action movie that's been annotated to death with boring technical details that add very little to the story so of course i did. and i feel extremely guilty about that.
would i recommend it? hard never.

if this book were a person it would wear boat shoes with no socks, have custom golf clubs but a +15 handicap, and slap you on the ass while it dismissively asks you to get it another bourbon. not too much ice this time, sweetie.

clancy isn't interested in passing the bechdel test as much as actively avoiding any implication that women exist at all. across 387 pages, 3 women have 12 lines. good, because any more than that and we'd certainly have been subjected to listening to them talk about their feelings.

further good news for white men uncomfortable outside their unearned privilege, aside from the needless meantioning of girl toys, this book is very white manly. literally.
