I'm hearing great things about The Six by Loren Grush, out in the US next week (Sep 12). I've followed Grush on Twitter for years, and her reporting on space is always excellent and always brings a fresh perspective to a topic. As a passionate space nerd, I'm excited about this book!

Currently reading Bird's and Sherwin's Pulitzer winning Oppenheimer biography published in 2005. I'll watch the movie at some point, but first want to read the full story. At 721 pages, it is thorough and fascinating. #Books

This week I'm REALLY feeling the pressure of my huge to-be-read queue because I'm reading in Spanish, which I read much more slowly than English. I'm enjoying it, though—it's a good police procedural novel, set in Basque country in Spain, with lots of atmosphere.

Notes from the Burning Age by Claire North. A timely, unique, suspenseful, imaginative sff story on the surface, and (when I could tear myself away to think about what I'd just read) layers and layers of things to ponder underneath. And such good, good writing!

I finished reading The Wager by David Grann. Really enjoyed this interesting little slice of maritime history. An easy read (half the pages are notes/index) with just the right amount of detail to place you in the action without getting bogged down.

If you love sci-fi and are looking for a book with a female led crew where pronouns are as common place as breathing and AI/Synthetics have the same right humans then this is your book, it was fucking brilliant read! 10/10!
