Stay away from negative people; they have a problem for every solution.

Fique longe das pessoas negativas; elas têm um problema para cada solução.

After seeing what the internet did to Mychal Threets I was wondering why nobody set up a GoFundMe for him.
So, with his permission, I did.
If you donate, put a 🐳 in your note. :)

📢Yesterday, I demonstrated our soon-to-be-released Accuracy Alerts feature and was asked about its accuracy with recent events. The technology we are using can add context to claims made about breaking news, going a step beyond ChatGPT regarding accurate real-time information.

1. Religious freedom means you can either practice any religion you want or no religion at all.
2. Religious freedom does not mean you can use your beliefs to dictate what others can and cannot do.

Your religion guides you, not all of us. It’s as simple as that.

This nincompoop had a Black man handcuffed in the back of his cruiser, and while he was walking back to the cruiser, an acorn hit the vehicle. The nincompoop opened fire on the cruiser with the handcuffed Black man in the back. Thankfully, the Black man wasn't injured. The nincompoop resigned.

A new app to connect all Twitter/X alternatives together is fully funded on Kickstarter. The proposed app is called, "Tapestry". It enable users to use one alternate Twitter/X platform for blasting to and reading from messages on all other platforms. There'll also be news feeds and emergency alerts.

We sent out an email to everyone, and people here will confirm we did. We can't guarantee every email will reach everyone's inbox. We also posted a statement about it. And no, I didn't leak everyone's info, the person responsible for exploiting the vulnerability did that.
Darren @darrsil
It's not disinfo. I didn't get an email. You should be questioning @cbouzy on why he leaked everyone's info, not randomly attacking people who were impacted by their bad practices.

There is a lot of misinformation about the security incident; here are the facts.

1. Troy contacted me at 12:31 AM EST.

2. I emailed Troy about the data at 2:27 AM EST.

3. At 4:07 AM EST, I notified Troy that we had patched the vulnerability.

4. We sent an email to everyone at 9:45 AM EST.

You can use 2FA on the web version. Go here to enable it: https://spoutible.com/sett...
Khrissy Choate @KhrissyChoate
I appreciate the transparency you’re showing us regarding this situation. Is there a way I can set up 2fa though Spoutible rather than using an app? I don’t even use the Spoutible app to post here. I access via Safari.

It's also noteworthy to know that the shaving of Black enslaved women's hair worked to further dehumanize them in many slave traders'eyes. Did this lack of head hair add to the sexual violence against these women during the Journey of No Return? We don't know, but suspect it did.

Once in America, many enslaved women and men regrew their shaven hair. Black enslaved women, in particular, used scraps of materials to adorn their heads until their hair returned to a noticeable length. Early colonists didn't mind this until slave revolts began.

To regain a sense of connectedness to their former lives, many American Black slaves not only regrew their hair, but also began braiding and locing their hair again. The patterns sometimes gave instructions on escaping or rebelling against white owners. Braids and cornrows became illegal for slaves.

At the same time as Post-Colonial America began outlawing certain Black enslaved hairstyles, the British began colonizing tribes in the African continent. They saw the loc styles as "dreadful" indicators of belligerent natives. Soon the term "dreadlocks" became a war term.

As Black men and women began to buy their freedom or escape to free states, the condition of their hair reflected their no slavery status. The moisturized Afro was worn by many Black men. Black women grew their hair to long lengths and manipulated the hair into complimentary smooth styles.

Unfortunately, the freedom of slaves also brought about colorism and "hairism." Mixed race Black Americans were sometimes freed by their slaveowners. Their hair was of straighter textures and more akin to their white fathers'. Differentiations in Freedman status became tied to Black hairstyles.

Views of Black American hair changed once again w/the hair products of Madame C. J. Walker and Annie Turnbo Malone. Lye was a dangerous chemical used by Black women and men to "straighten" their hair. These two women created the formulas making the safe use of lye possible. Natural hair was passe.

As Black Americans began to demand their civil rights after WWII, the issue of white control of Black hairstyles started to spread again. Many Black war veterans got use to their natural hairstyle while fighting in Europe. Variations of the "fade" were popular. White men saw this as Black defiance.

In the movie, "Oh Brother Where Art Thou", George Clooney plays a white man jokingly addicted to hair pomade. For Black American men, hair pomade was no joke. C.D Murray invented the pomade brand that helped "tame" Black men's natural hair. The product has been a success ever since 1925.
