The reason I’m a Marxist and not a liberal is primarily because there is no sufficient way to maintain capitalism without crisis, and capitalism always progresses to fascism when sufficiently threatened. We can’t vote our way out of this. I dearly wish we could.

Why do people get so offended by the idea of a shorter workweek with no reduction in weekly pay? We’ve had massive improvements in efficiency since the 40 hr week was standardized, and we now have both parents in the workforce. Split the week 20 hrs each and keep the income the same.
