INDEPENDENT BOOKSTORE DAY!!!! Why are you sitting here scrolling? Get to your nearest independent bookstore! I dressed the part and picked up a book at The Bookstore of Glen Ellyn. It was very nice of Dame Judi Dench to release her book this past Tuesday so I could get it today.

Home after a visit with my daughter in Syracuse, NY. 3 photos from the eclipse which, conveniently, went right over her house. #solareclipse #1 -Cloudy. We had difficulty, when using our glasses, in finding the sun. I was able to find it by looking at the reflection in the glass of her patio table.

Spent two days cleaning my fountain pens. Some had crusty bits down in the nib and had to be flushed. I adore Lamy Safari but methinks I need red and pink in my stable.

Changed my hair color. I am solid gray/white. I did what's called "peacock hair" last year and I let it go to see how long it would fade. Today's fade. Blue is tenacious.
I went red. I'd never done red hair. This brand is more "permanent" than other ones so this may linger awhile. I love it.

Hmmmmm...is something going on in the regular world and I don't know about it? I've had 13 pet visits cancelled in four hours this morning. It's Spring Break, which is usually our busiest time. That snowstorm currently in Nebraska gets here tomorrow with rain. This is weird.

Sigh...Hamlet is unwell. He's been throwing up since Saturday. He will eat grass and then upchuck. It's known that will settle an animal's stomach. But he's taken, this week, to gnawing off leaves from my spider plant, then throwing it up.
