A beautiful blue bay with many majestic craggy sea stacks. Impressive waves are crashing against those rocks and the beach of dark beige sand. A sea cliff of varying height borders the beach, backed by a series of rugged wooded ridges. A mountain rises behind them, its top brushed by the clouds. At the far end of the bay, the sea cliff rises to a lofty mountain right against the shore.

Wooly Mule's Ear plants skirt the side of the trail between Spooner Summit and Marlette Lake, about a 5mi hike. They have a fuzzy appearance, and dominate patches of clear area the closer you get to the Lake. #DailyPictureTheme #Skirt #MarletteLake

Every now and then, you can see tax dollars at work, as when road cleanup happens. It is highly unfortunate; however, even when a "littering is illegal" sign is clearly visible, that folks have to be so lazy and careless. #DailyPictureTheme #tax #lazy #NorthCarolina

Cayuga, the bald eagle, at the Menominee Park in Oshkosh, WI. He was severely injured by a gunshot wound, so he can't hunt in the wild anymore and lives his life in this fairly large caged area in the park. #DailyPictureTheme #Cage #BaldEagle

Roughly 5,600,000 pounds of #steel (displacement standard) in this relatively small destroyer decommissioned in 1982. She is now docked in Bremerton, WA and we got to see her last December. #USSTurnerJoy #DailyPictureTheme #USNavy

I chose to be a drummer in 5th grade. Parents refused and pushed me into clarinet, which I played into college until I quit and never touched again. I did play in Drum Bugle Corps in JROTC, me in pic (front row). Parents, please let your kids follow their passion. 😞
