If big chains are going to keep gouging consumers then i say, screw them & shop at small businesses again. Odds are they have better deals! Go to your local butcher or produce hut. Buy as much as you can at the smaller mom&pop places. Cut back on things you can’t get there & make the big guys pay

The new prices do reflect a new reality. Some of it represents the accuracy of bringing the product to the consumer. That will be higher than the past. But as has been noted, much more is just opportunistic and coordinated.

It's this bias that made me choose places where I could easily hide my tattoos. It's why I've also waited as long as I have to start experimenting with my hair color.
