A lot of interesting political information about the issues in Kansas. Also worrying about the problem of aquifers being depleted and their future impact on Kansas agriculture for wheat and cattle.

Democrats: "Let's protect Social Security and make healthcare more affordable."

Republicans: "WOKE! Mr. Potato Head!"

Democrats: "Um... Let's talk about infrastructure and ensure banks are properly regulated."

"A huge chunk of Fox News’ revenues technically come from consumers that don’t actually watch the channel, but pay for it through traditional, dated cable TV channel bundles."

Amazon apparently wanted to make it harder to cancel Prime.

So they allegedly added a complex cancellation process to confuse consumers.

Now the FTC is suing Amazon for scamming millions.

Good.

This is what it looks like when government works on behalf of the people.

The last person born into slavery died in 1972. Let that sink in on this "independence" day. Many of us knew people who were either slaves, or children or grandchildren of slaves. Maybe it can change your perception of the US you live in currently. History often isn't that long ago!

On this day in 1964, I lost my friend Mickey Schwerner when he was murdered by members of the Ku Klux Klan for registering Black voters in the South. As voting rights are under attack, we seem to be headed back to the society Mickey fought against with his life. We must act now.

Gifts to Supreme Court justices shouldn’t just be “disclosed.” They should be banned, outright. This should not be a radical position.

An antibiotic known as hygromycin A has effectively cleared #LymeDisease in mice. Dr. Kim Lewis, says human trials of his discovery may begin as early as next year.
Could this ‘new’ antibiotic treatment prevent chronic Lyme disease?

In response to Andrea Junker.
The very rich frame the discussion by controlling/owning the media, social media channels, and conservative politicians.

They have spent time and money, putting the onus on the people, to avoid blame, and prevent equality.

Increasingly, the risk:reward ratio for practicing medicine is shifting. We are held liable while working in environments in which consistent quality of care is impossible. https://t.co/pU6bHO6mwL

Re: Florida’s 6 week abortion ban. Pregnancies are dated in a non-intuitive way — from the last period, even though you aren’t pregnant at the time of the last period. A six week pregnancy is technically more like 4 weeks. There’s no time here, no matter what the circumstance of the pregnancy.
