A few years ago a second drop box was placed next to the long-standing Ballot drop box. That year it was confusing for some citizens who drove up to the first box with their ballot not realizing the box was for Property #Tax payments! 😱

The shrine built in the form of an Upper Egyptian chapel contained an empty pedestal with a back pillar, on which sunken footprints indicate the presence of a god who was probably never set up as a statuette but consciously suggested as an invisible god.…The shrine is embellished with eighteen scenes which the queen performs various activities on behalf of the king. On the right, she is assisting at a bird hunt, on the left she can be seen handing the king a sistrum and a drinking bowl or fastening a floral collar around his neck. In another scene, the king is pouring liquid into his wife's cupped hand. On the rear, she is anointing her husband and gives him a palm rib as a symbol of his eternal reign….the queen's actions resemble those of a priest's in a ceremonial scene.

A carousel horse with a painted #Saddle from about 1895 can be found in the basement workshop at the Historic Carousel & Museum (July 2018).

A wood horse painted in shades of brown supported on a metal pole. The saddle is carved in relief with curved scrolls and embellishments. Elegant and simple. The colors are a warm soft brown, light yellow gold, brick red, and teal. The plaque in front of the display says: GALLOPER HORSE, circa 1895, Gustav A. Dentzel, This horse still has it's original paint, From the Dentzel Family Carousel Collection.
