At Kinghorn Loch a nesting swan warms her clutch on a large bed of thin reedy branches on an isolated patch of ground surrounded with water on three sides edged in leafy green plants and sheltered by a cluster of trees; a companion swan with slender neck upright coasts nearby, reflected in the water along with the double-trunked tree at the end of their nesting site; with the loch and distant bank, covered in green brush and trees, in the background. During a windy high tide the Firth of Forth splashes up on Burntisland’s bayside promenade which is edged by large rocks tinged with yellow lichen and bends around a crag topped by gorse bushes, blooming yellow.
