He said that you are an owner of many teddies, so he doesn't understand why you don't know the difference between hairy and woolly.

And he thought he'd be treated differently because he supported Trump?

The level of delusion...but yes, I hope that strikes the fear in him of what happens when racist shits take over power and institutions.

Yup. He's been used as a prop, and has been used thoroughly. I hope he realises a greater sense of self-awareness when he gets out of custody. Because they have shown that he will be left behind.

I almost feel sorry for him.

We'd call brutalising as bastardising/bastardisation.

I'd understand that type of geographical division because it's so prominent here.

I was discussing with @sstan99 about the Mississippi and its tributaries as well and how the river populations show the health divide, which of course has socio-economic roots.

I love peat fires. They are so cosy (in the middle of winter of course, not in high summer).

Cyprus has been divided between Greece and Turkey for decades. The Greeks there consider themselves, Greek.

That can be confusing when the borders are malleable? Maybe depending on the mountain ranges/lakes/natural bodies? Here, we have the Great Dividing Range that makes a natural difference - especially socio-economically. You live between the range and coast, you're fine. Behind it inland, not so.

The smallpox story is pretty amazing. But so are the others. I especially liked the story of the #Cholera outbreak and how #JohnSnow isolated it in London. That was a paradigm shift from blaming malodourous air, to contaminated water.

PS Of course it wasn't fantastic that so many people still died - but fantastic that you watched the movie.

I think we did better than you in terms of our isolation as an island but the disinformation was pretty rampant here as well.

Fantastic! I thought it was an incredible nod to Barry and not just because he ingested the bacteria 😂 but also the fact Jennifer Ehle @MaryPocrnic played the scientist. And Jennifer is my forever Elizabeth Bennet (P&P reference).
