That is hilarious! Where is it from?

Cannot use superlatives? I cannot even say that they are the stupidest organization, or that pizza is the greatest food?

it's straightforward for a pharmacy or grocery discount card to out pregnant women - change in purchasing pattern of tampons or other products (without even counting prescriptions), purchases of pregnancy tests

Yup

And the 2-Step has begun:
Say it's a state's rights issue, then
(already started) argue embryos are human under 14A, so NO state has right to regulate

Today's info-environ is insane
Years ago, Facebook outed a pregnant girl to her dad almost before she knew; from purchase & search logs

Yes

But I quibble with the "almost"

It is "exactly" like they want a new form of slavery

As we pretty much all know here, this was never about "life", it was always about control of the many by the few

I also wish it were so

But that day seems long past. 90% of the MSM is owned by only SIX corporations. Media are unprofitable fleas on the butts of big mangy corporate dogs

They will always skew even worse to the corporate line, push dictators for tax cuts, and generally not GAF that they're wrong

Excellent. As long as they are factually stating that they are competing in NCAA competitions, athletes should be able to say so

NCAA has it exactly backwards — the athletes using their brand will build it up — they will amplify it!

Corporate types can be sooo tedious

It's literally getting to the point in Red States that even purchasing any kind of reproductive-system product, or even groceries, needs to be planned. Don't change buying patterns even if circumstances change. (stockpile preg tests in advance, what's shelflife?)

Oh for sure! So sort of an empty offer

I'd consider it extremely dangerous for any American-linked person to go there under the current regime — you'd never know when it'd become a good time to take another hostage (of course with the standard accusations of spying).

3) can some groups say "All X are Y" and it will heard as exact/literal/logical, while other groups can say "All A are B" and expect it to be interpreted as vague

4) can the idea Acey pointed out about focusing on acts vs groups help?

Yes, thx for discussing. We've got about four different overlapping issues juxtaposed; can't even smash one into a single post

1) "punching down"

2) "Not All" being (ab)used as defense of privilege

Thx for saying what's in my mind

More srsly, this "not all" argument has been on SocMedia for years — it's an obvious cause of misunderstanding (and can be abused to justify priv)

I actually had a thought that Acey's call to focus on acts not groups might help; sorry

Exactly!

To me, danger is a call to action (e.g., when things are OK, I can focus on something else)

Of course, you're right, ppl have a range of responses; (oversimplifying science) it's Fight, Flight, of Freeze

Sometimes 300char brevity is great for communication, but other times, whattamess!

Ya, hard to distinguish & put nuance in 300 chars, misinterpretation...

100%: cowering is not necessary, vigilance is

As we discuss, seems we're actually aprox. on the same page, just looking at it from different angles?

Seems we both thing winning is possible, even likely, if we work?

YES!
If everyone on the side of democracy turns out to vote, we win in a historic landslide

NO, it is because people, incl Biden admin, are working like mad to set things right

Public also must do their part

100% agree: Russia & GOP are definitely beatable
No question

BUT:

That is NOT the same thing as the victory having been accomplished and in the past

YES, we CAN win

But the answer is not yet written

In Ukraine, the fight is obvious, they don't, they die

Here, many think they have the luxury of things like stupid protest, 3rdPtys, voting for TFG b/c it'll "shake things up" or "stick it to -whoever-"

There are $$billions exploiting that idiocy

Obviously, there are differences

It just seemed worth noting the often overlooked similarities, considering the recurring "not all" discussion

It's an example where if we can get away from using group smears on one, it could apply generally, & focus on acts

But 300chars is short for much nuance?

MSM will not help

They will exaggerate and amplify how bad it is

The goal of the protests is to undermine Dems, make Biden look bad, lose the election

(They also DGAF that this will be deadly for Palestinians, as everyone turns against them)

Participating or amping the protests helps Rs & RU
