@JasonAlexander Your son (who does audio descriptions) might enjoy this ½hr episode from Michael Rosen's BBC* "Word of Mouth" podcast, on 'Audio description: putting art into words'. It's fascinating & quite charming :) https://www.bbc.co.uk/soun...
*assuming he can access from US...

Is there a way to hide 'Hide echoes'? Cos I want to see the echoes but can't see how to get rid of this option to not see them. If you see what I mean :)

Is there a glitch with the Messages icon? It keeps flashing a red 1 or 2 at me but when I click there's nothing there. It's at 3 at the moment... greyed out cos I'm writing a spout. Heh, just gone up to 4. No, 5. Help ;)

@JasonAlexander Hi :) Wondered if yr orange Spoutible banner is just default, or preference. If default, how about telling world abt yr cool projects. My examp just flung together in PowerPt but I'm sure a graphic designer (not me) could make a really nice proper one & add 'Directed by..' etc :)

🖼️ How to add images to your Spout.
Runtime: 1m 33s
You can paste them in directly [4 sec], or upload them [22 sec]. It's recommended that you add some helpful ALT text (for screenreader users) [46 sec] and credit the image creator [1' 19"], if not you.

The dome of St Paul's Cathedral in London with two photographs taken a few inches apart (stereoscopy) which, when combined by your eyes/brain will form a 3D effect image. No equipment required to view other than two working eyes.

Here's a stereoscopic image that will exist only when your eyes (& brain) convert it to a 3D image. Stare at the middle and relax your focus, like the 1990s magic eye pictures, and a third image will appear combining the two. The depth effect pops out, it's quite cool. St Paul's Cathedral, London.

@JasonAlexander Beautiful #sakura 🌸 cherry blossoms in Greenwich Park. Two image galleries each w 2 pics. Pick gallery, stare at middle, adjust focus (bit like magic eye), 3D-effect stereoscopic image pops out. Left gallery is for parallel focusers, R for cross-eyed. No reply needed, just enjoy :)

@cbouzy Yikes. If there's a way of reporting / blocking accounts via hover-over that would be great. I'm relucant to click on the links. Is there a SpoutHelp type of account I should be sending these to? You shouldn't have to see this rubbish, sorry :/

Another excellent episode of the #ReallyNoReally podcast with Steve Blank interviewed about running out of microprocessor chips. It's available on the podcasting apps but you can also just listen on the web (also watch on YouTube)

Look at this ridiculously pretty tree! It's in Greenwich Park, less than ½ hr's walk from my house in London :) I think it's a crab apple (Malus) rather than a cherry tree (Prunus) but it's all lovely pink #sakura blossom to me. What3Words https://what3words.com/wip... photo is CC0.

Today I discovered how to create a 3D spectroscopic image from 2 photos taken on an iPhone. One pic is taken with weight on left foot, then shift weight to right and take second photo. Line 'em up, make your eyes go a bit woogly (like Magic Eye) and boom, a 3D image pops up. Quite surprising!

I don't often see job ads for #scicomm in computer science (my field) so am v excited when I do. This climate science paid internship at Cambridge is for undergrad / MSc level students. Please check eligibility carefully https://www.maths.cam.ac.u...
