Can someone explain to me what's GOOD about living in Texas? Because literally the ONLY plus I've ever heard is "low taxes!!!", which...tbh, I find the American obsession with low taxes a big part of why this country insists on holding itself back.

Random musical thought: the last chord of Dvorak's Ninth Symphony. It's the big finale, but the chord is written not to be sustained at fortissimo, but rather to be hit fortissimo and then to fade away as the orchestra holds it. It's always a fascinating thing to hear.
