This is one of my favorite books in the series, mostly because I introduced my main antagonist in this book. The location for my antagonist could not have been better because it had a rich mythos. Whenever possible I try to weave mythology and folklore into my books.

For me, I get lost in writing, and time becomes irrelevant. Before I know it, I look up and the day is done. I don't pay that much attention to word count, and I am not a fast typer (Only 4 of my fingers know how to type😳), but I did manage to put out 11,820 words one day.

Fifteen years ago, I started writing a book about a dryad called Winter's Heart. I had written the long prologue and the first chapter. The next day, the computer crashed, and I lost it all. I was so disappointed I abandoned the story and stopped writing for a year.

This is a poem I wrote about a childhood fear. I had a great imagination even as a child, and I was deathly afraid of monsters. 👹😱

At night, I believed that the only thing that could protect you from the goblins was a mother's tuck. So, I made sure I was tucked in at night.

Although she never grew to full-size, her attitude was enormous. She once went after a German Shepherd that barked at me.

Of course, I had to save her ass, but her fearlessness was impressive. 😉

Maslow's hierarchy is a motivational theory that breaks human needs into levels, with self-actualization at the top of the pyramid. The idea is that one cannot achieve higher levels of social development unless they have achieved the previous levels.

I once had someone ask, "Do you like writing or editing more?" and I thought it was a trick question.

It's like if someone asked you, "What do you like better, fried chicken or dead body soup?"

This little novella will always be special to me. It is not the first book I wrote, but it is the most significant.

Writing this book changed the direction of my life and convinced me that writing is what I should be doing for the rest of my life.

A few weeks ago, I ran across a real-life mystery that could easily be ripped from the pages of a mystery novel. My mind seized onto it, and I became obsessed.

What’s more, the victim was a writer. As you know, I view everyone in the writing community as a tribe.

I'm happy to announce that all of the cover art for the Dryad Chronicles is done. I finished the first draft of the book 6 a month ago.

I started this journey three years ago and am now two books away from finishing this incredible saga.

The only thing better than reading books is writing them.🥰

Back when I was managing a motel PG&E said they had to cut down the palm tree out front. I talked them into just cutting off the top so that I could carve a Totom pole. the process took about a year. First I did a rough carving and drilled holes for draining the sap. I let the tree dry out all summe
