They’re going to get shellacked if moderate GOP voters stay home or vote D out of spite. I hope they stay home though, that would put some seats in play.

It’s just as I thought. The same kind of astroturfing that gave the Tea Party movement credibility to win the 2010 midterms and wreck long term damage to our country.

Not just giving the Trump hush money trial the “both sides” treatment but also breathlessly covering the pro Hamas protesters at college campuses as if that will make the difference in six months.

I like visiting FL a lot, but even if it were as blue as California the summer heat is nigh unbearable plus some unfriendly locals. CT would be a blue state I would move to bc it’s on the East Coast, sensible taxation and easier to see family.

Rs only have a 1 seat majority in both AZ state houses. This is similar to what Virginia had going into their 2019 legislative elections— and Ds scored a trifecta! Imagine how much amped up it will be in AZ because it’s an election year.

Rick Wilson was delighted to hear the news, but he seems to think that Rick Scott, being able to self finance his reelection campaign, will be re-elected. Wilson used to be a FL R strategist but outspending your opponent doesn’t always work.

I think Rs are going to get blown out across the country. They’ll have to triage resources to keep vulnerable R Senators but even that may not be enough. Especially with Trump using the RNC as his personal legal slush fund.

I just want to see a repeat of Election Night 2008 on Fox when Karl Rove looked livid after the network said Obama won. But on a widespread scale.

We could use a brief D House majority and pass another reconciliation bill that guarantees funding for Ukraine and Israel— as well as keep the extended child tax credit.

I’ve been telling people who like and use VBM (in states where primaries are done) to request the Nov ones pronto. We need to make sure we’re hyper compliant and get the ballots back in pronto.

I recommend mail voters in OH and FL send their Nov absentee ballot requests now. And send the ballots pronto after making sure everything is good (so you don’t have any ballot curing issues). I think both states allow you to drop off ballots during the in person EV period too.

Rs keep gerrymandering our state every which way because they want to extend their power as much as possible. NC is a roughly 50-50 state & if the state and congressional lines were drawn fairly in a presidential year, Ds could win back legislative control. And Berger and Moore know it.

Moore and Berger are getting complacent, never mind that their state party is $72K in the hole.

When NC regains a D trifecta, there will be serious payback for these guys. I hope they’re still around to see the 12 wk abortion ban, the gerrymandering, the secretive laws, et al thrown in the garbage.

That’s not it. The majority of the 2022 midterms (save NC) and 2023 have seen candidates and issues Dems win by over 10-15 pts on average. That is unheard of.

I would love this year to be 2010 in reverse for Republicans, where they lose a lot more seats than they expected.

Republicans here are panicky. A month or two after Anderson was sworn in as D party chair, that’s when Cotham switched. Then the state GOP jammed the 12 week abortion ban and red meat bills through. Now Tim Moore is talking about new voting laws with that “voter integrity” BS AGAIN.
