Haven't been spouting for a minute, life got too busy for me to worry about the socials.

I had an unusual morning at #BJJ training: I actually felt semi-competent and had a little bit of success in my rolls.
I was rewarded by the heavy dude dropping his knee right on my foot, giving me a cartoonish goose-egg that makes wearing shoes impossible.
Here's to walking funny for a few days.

Saw this one on the shelf, and it called to me.
Librarian: "ooooh, I ADORED this book."
Me: "yeah? The inside cover looked worth it."
Librarian: "my last tattoo was a quote from it."
I open it up, there are dog-eared pages and passages underlined with pencil, later erased.
Feels like a winner.

BJJ is training techniques until they're second nature, filling your tool belt with neat little tricks. They don't work, of course.
Until they do.
Then you're like "oh THAT'S how to do that thing I learned three months ago!"
And they work for two days.
Rinse and repeat.

Took two weeks off from #bjj , first because I was sick, then because I had a few 14-hour days at work.
Good to be back on the mats this morning, but man, you lose a lot of stamina FAST during the off time. Momentum matters, etc, etc.

I just started listening to a new podcast, Tower Four.
It's clearly cribbing from Firewatch, an excellent game from a few years back, but the storyline feels like it's detouring into something much more sinister and weird.
I kinda love it. I've been looking for good, creepy, fiction podcasts.
