It's been interesting the last few days. In the process of updating my Finance project to handle accounts with better #SwiftUI code, I ended up deleting my own Savings account data. 🤬 Restoring that data wasn't easy since it syncs with iCloud. Finally got that done. Finally fixed the problem. 😮💨

Thinking through how I want to update some #SwiftUI code in my Finance app. Thought going from a struct to an extension on class would be best for handling data, but running into an issue with creating new accounts doing so. There are options. Just need to figure out which one to go with. 🤔

#SwiftUI table selection used in macOS (vs. list selection in iOS/iPadOS) messing up an otherwise perfect plan. 😩 Time to go back and re-read tutorial stuff about using tables in macOS in Paul Hudson's book.

Had to clear my Safari cache to correct an issue with another site and noticed that Spoutible finally has an apple-touch-icon and no longer is just a generic "S" (I suspect this happened when the new logo was added, but I just saw it now). Awesome! Thanks to whoever at Spoutible got this done. ❤️

Lots of errors in Xcode today as I change around the underlying way I'm passing data around in the #SwiftUI code of my project from stuffing data into a custom struct to using an extension on the auto-generated core data class. This was expected. Glad for the Git safety net (less stress). 🙂

Really happy about my city's mayoral race result. The Independent progressive woman won 60/40 over the moderate Democrat (a guy so dumb as to have endorsed an idiot Republican for MA state senate once over a highly qualified Democrat and was bragging about getting Republican endorsements this year).

Between Paul Hudson's Beyond Code book to learn about Git and an article I found about using Git with Xcode 15, I think I now have both of my #SwiftUI -based projects using Git and have successfully created the branch I need (my safety net) to work on changing around some of my code without fear. 🙂

3:51 PM EDT: Finished the book I've been reading about using Git. Calling it a day on the programming stuff. Sunset isn't until 5:34 PM EDT. Going to go relax a bit and enjoy the remaining daylight. Glad I decided to leave the clocks alone and stick with DST. 🙂
