As for Red Dwarf, Gallifrey Gals and Shelma32 on YouTube are currently both doing reactions to that which have been fun to watch along. Gallifrey Gals just finished up season 6, Shelma is watching season 5.

Basically looking at the reactions on YouTube that are open-minded and enjoying the shows I like not all the videos proclaiming how terrible everything is and claiming everything is "woke" and needs to be canceled.

There were also some other cool reactions being done on YouTube around the Doctor Who 60th Anniversary specials and the Christmas special that I watched that were awesome as well.

I'm not creating reaction videos, just watching. For Doctor Who I'm currently enjoying the videos that Shelma32 and sesskasays on YouTube are doing. Shelma is still covering the 1st Doctor, Sesska is closing in on the end of the 4th Doctor currently.

It's funny, but lately my comfort shows are actually rewatching shows I like in the form of reaction videos on YouTube so I can virtually re-watch with others who have never seen the shows. Shows like Doctor Who, Percy Jackson & The Olympians, Netflix Avatar The Last Airbender, Red Dwarf, etc.

Thanks. Not sure I'm completely following all of that, but will try to figure it out. Really appreciate it. My cousin is legally deaf and I have a couple of older relatives who also have some difficultly hearing. Will be nice if I can get our holiday DVD set up with CC so they can better enjoy it.

Loved the classics (especially the later Davison onward). Loved the new who later Smith and Capaldi TARDIS. But this new new who TARDIS is absolutely amazing (though could use some seating and a nice coffee table away from the console a bit - just saying) 😉

Yes. Even though it was rather painful (I guess that's the risk of being the developer AND an end user), I'm glad I discovered the error and got it fixed BEFORE I release an app update.

Indeed. Was quite stressful. If it wasn't for the iCloud sync it would have been easy - just using Time Machine to restore the previous data. I had to get real creative to get the data back. Then, it turned out to be a extremely stupid code error on my part (so was kicking myself over that too).

Yeah. I wasn't really expecting Disney Channel or Disney XD to promote Doctor Who, but did think there would be something on Disney+ itself leading up to it to let more people know it is coming. Oh well, maybe it's a surprise.

Actually, it was promoted on NBC as part of their (failed) attempt at Melodifestivalen in the US (American Song Contest). Great idea, good show runner, well produced, and not a single song that I liked (vs. Melodifestivalen where I typically like most of the songs and love around 8 - 10 each year).

Doctor Who is coming to Disney+ in a week? No, of course I know, but does Disney+ know? I mean, I just looked yesterday and there is absolutely NO mention of it anywhere (unless I'm really missing something). 🤔 Would have thought at least a trailer clip, placeholder section, avatars. Seems weird.

I would also love an 8th Doctor spinoff. Big Finish have certainly proved what a great casting choice he was and given him some awesome adventures. Would be awesome to see a series or two on screen.

I've always wanted a Romana spinoff where she has a TARDIS and companion(s) of her own. Best classic companion, could easily go up against the worst of the monsters (she is an equal to the Doctor - perhaps even better 🤫). Could go anywhere in time and space. Can regenerate to keep a series going.

I guess. I don't know the reason. I know some people who acted like this even before COVID. It's just dumb. I know the vaccine doesn't provide 100% immunity, but I'm hoping for the best for you. 🤞

So sorry to hear this. I don't know what it is with some people. We had a family get together recently. Someone told my aunt they were not feeling well and she insisted they come anyway because it wouldn't be the same without them. 😡⁉️ We found out later (fortunately wasn't COVID & we were masked)

I'm the only one that seems to be posting about my progress with SwiftUI programming on Spoutible. 🙁. There are a few people with "Swift" in their handles, but that seems to be used as a synonym for fast, or is their last name, or they are fans of Taylor Swift.

I also have to say that Joe Biden surprised me. He wasn't my top pick in the primary when it came to progressive policies (I was favoring Elizabeth Warren), but early on he did embrace them and then worked with a congress with more progressives to get some pretty impressive stuff done once elected.

If enthusiastic support and a strong case to voters (far from "tepid") is being measured by arbitrary timelines, one could also argue that Hillary Clinton and the Democratic party waited too long to embrace better progressive policy positions that could have secured more support earlier on.

Tepid support like this? One of many - where Bernie says "I intend to do everything I can to make certain she [Hillary Clinton] will be the next President of the United States" and then goes on to make the case for voting for Clinton to his supporters? Doesn't sound "tepid" to me.

So yeah, I'm still a bit leery of blanket statements without qualifiers or nuance and don't just assume that "Everyone knows there's nuance".

I certainly did vote for Hillary in the general though, because she was certainly more qualified than Trump. But still had certain people who couldn't see the nuance and wanted to push that blanket statement mad that I would actually support Bernie's policies over Hillary's.

In terms of "Everyone knows there's nuance". I'm not sure that is true. I supported Bernie Sanders over Hillary Clinton in the primary because his policy positions were objectively better. Certain people on another social media site actually did rely on a similar blanket statement (without nuance).

I suppose I could have argued the inverse. As you point out, I could change "awesome women" to "awesome men" and it is equally true. That wasn't really how the original statement I was responding to was framed, but absolutely there are some awesome highly qualified men doing a great job.

Actually, the quoted spout I was responding to seemed to be saying exactly that. It said: "Put the women in charge. Men are stupid." There was no nuance or qualifier in that statement expressed or implied.
