This past weekend I had been invited to be a vendor at the Culver City (L.A) Garden Club's 70th Annual (juried) Flower Show. I did really well and had a fabulous time-my kind of folk. Thi was not mine-it's a way of making an arrangement called Ikebana & won 1 of 2 Best in Show awards.

I read this 😭 story on Baraki Sellers’ (@ baraki_sellers) bird page about this 93-year-old woman fighting to keep her land on Hilton Head. The developer harasses her and gravesites for family members are now behind the gates of the development. There is a go fund me for her legal fees. I’m 😡too

I lost Sparkles on the left in December. His 1/2 brother Oreo I had to put to sleep today and the roommate from hell took my cat last month. I am not doing well right now.

You can hear the fireworks 🎆 😏 from Disneyland every night from here. They start at 9:30 & end almost 15 minutes later with a big crescendo. It's actually calming.

Do you live close to a Mexican market & do you like Mexican food? Being from SoCal, I've eaten & loved the food all my life. Our local market has a huge deli with hot & cold foods, huge produce section and a meat dept. with butchers who wait on you. And a salsa and Ceviche bar. And fresh bakery.

One of the good things all the garden clubs in the nation does is participate in the Penny Pines project. Every $68 collected buys 350 tree seedlings for one's local National Forest! You send them the $ & they do the rest. My club will buy 5 this year. We honor a member with one in their name.

I sold $200 worth of rocks here from home today to a great guy. He came a long ways on L.A. freeways to get here. And I sold $350 last week to a friend, not paid for or shipped yet for dino bone. Thanks goodness, as jerkoff didn't pay any rent in May & I don't have a new roommate lined up.

Did you know before Roe women in CA wanting an abortion could get one for 1 of 2 reasons-physical or mental. I got one pre Roe by going to a mental health clinic & took all these ink block tests, etc. So, you had to be nuts, more or less, to want an abortion. Some states don't even have this, now.

I'm going to be displaying some fossils with the Delvers Gem & Mineral Society in the Cerritos (CA) Library in July in the entry hall. I have some work to do. The library has a huge Chihuly glass sculpture near the ceiling in that hall-too cool.
