Then the former employer went bankrupt or otherwise failed to provide health insurance. Insurers didn't like elderly customers... pre-existing conditions, etc. = unhappy golden years.

I am absolutely against white presidents at HBCUs. You can say whatever you want about discrimination but the universities wouldn't exist if white folks hadn't barred us from studying at the majority of their institutions. A person leading the school needs to know the struggle and the cause.
