There's a reason old ladies with cats is such a trope. They're warm, small (well, generally, smaller than the average dog) cuddly, soft. Feels wonderful under my arthritic hands, my very own purring hot water bottle. And she's so sweet, such a lovely temperament. Wonderful lap cat😸 great company🤗

It's funny. Being disabled changes the way you see(some) things. I can be having just the worst day(for me) physically, but if I can just carve out a little bit of space for me, if I can half watch a show, if its to a level where I can still enjoy being in a comfy clean bed...

You know, I think my cat doesn't eat red meat🤔 seriously though, she'll eat any sachet food if its chicken, haven't tested fish yet. But she's having none of it with the lamb and beef. It's not her mouth cuz she can handle biscuits. Hm. Only taken me 3+ years to click. Will have to test further!🤣

No one treats me better than I treat myself🤣 my (late) breakfast in bed on valentines day. Sliced oranges, so fresh and juicy, and so big! Pain au chocolat in napkins so it doesn't get soggy from the oranges mwah 🤌 the best. And it didn't cost me a blow job🙄 always a bonus.

I've got a month to recover from, well, the last month🤣 but the vets and some other mini crises. Rn I can barely sit in bed, let alone sit in waiting rooms for however long it takes 🙄 between the PoTS, the EDS, and autistic traits I'm burnt out! And hospitals are the worst...

I do have good news though! My hospital appt for my teeth finally came through!!! The litany of errors and fk ups just in how they sent that is unbelievable. When its this dysfunctional, a 'health service' really does more harm than good imo! But 11th March, 4 weeks 🤗 hopefully make some progress!

Aw carrying Mrs Vee in her case battered my hands and the arthritic pain in my thumb joints is something else! Not cold to the touch, but painfully cold sensation in the bone. And so stiff. Really rather painful!

Look who's feeling better!? So much so she's been given free reign of the home again. And my bedroom is no longer a cat hospital😂👍 all her bad symptoms have cleared up, she's moving well, confident, eating, pooping😂 so very happy and relieved!!!

Omds I'm so lucky. Okay, so Vee's had every basic complication going🤣 but she's been a breeze to get in her case, the vet calls her one of the placid cats🤣🤣🤷♀️ taken all her tests really well. She hated her buster collar but then cat, no shit! Today tho she starts worm treatment😬

Update on Mrs Vee! Idiopathic (ie stress induced) cystitis, we think. Got too stressed and strained her weewee too hard, basically🙄 silly bear. But it's been a hard couple of weeks for her, so I understand. Got her some food and meds, hopefully she'll feel better in a day or two.

Growing up, I rarely had milk based breakfasts as the smell made my mum heave. When she was pregnant, my dad insisted on eating porridge and the smell still turns her stomach. But in winter, as a treat, she'd make me hot weetabix and I love her for that. Even though it turned her green, she made it.

I'm so relieved Vee's finally eaten a decent amount. A whole sachet of food, two servings across an hour, and pureed. But she ate it! And kept it down! Grossest thing I've put up with for her yet🤣 but she's worth it.

Mrs Vee has had me so worried all week. Latest 'could be nothing but sounds horrendous' thing has been her bum. Gone from diarrhea from the meloxicam, to constipation, bleeding, straining, and just one unhappy cat. She's not swipey normally so I know when she's grumpy! Been a long week!

I could fkin cry! Vee's seeing the vet in the morning. Til then she's hungry but doesn't want to eat anything solid. I have a kind of soup for cats but it's not a meal. I just finally got her to eat actual meat and in quantity!!! How? I put her whiskas meat in gravy in a blender til it was pureed.
