Well, I'm not being evicted, so there's that. I start paying full rent again on 01 June and begin repaying the back rent 15 August. I'm also waiting to hear if I'll get any help with that back rent. And I can still move out later. How was your afternoon? 😁

Just heard Cecil Williams has died. He did more for the downtrodden through his work at Glide Memorial church than just about anyone. He was truly an icon of caring for people.

Got my shots in my knees yesterday, and while they feel better today, it'll take a few days to reach full relief. Doing this every 4 months has gotten really old, but at least I get pain relief and better mobility for a couple months.

Who knew that renting a car has turned into an almost impossible task if you aren't starting at an airport. I used to go to the big downtown Hertz location (because they were open 24 hours), but it looks like it's some sort of Lyft processing place now. Ugh.

I now have court dates for my housing issue. First up is a mandatory settlement conference on 24 April, and then the actual court date the following Monday. I have to find the funding for the move that will follow sometime after that date. Come on Lotto! (I have to laugh)

Well, I had a first today: I fell over on the bus. Luckily just minor bumps and I didn't fall on anyone on the way down. Hafta remember to hold on before the bus takes off if I'm not in a seat already. Prolly won't be the last time this happens.

After an Xfinity tech visit this morning, where he replaced my TV box (again), changed every coax connection in my apartment, and cleaned up the box on the roof, I am looking forward to actually watching TV when I get home.

Update on my cable issues: replaced main TV box, replaced internet router (because new TV box couldn't communicate with it), still no TV, technician coming Monday at 7:30 AM, and I got a $20 a month discount for the next 2 years. So I guess I'm winning.

Well, the power outage last night apparently fried my main cable box, so the second cable box and internet modem are all out of commission, too. Picking up a new box after work tomorrow. And I got a speed upgrade at a lower price, so I'll be saving $10 a month. Yay!

Last week Macy's had a 1-day online sale and I scored a set of very nice flannel sheets for 60% off. Just got them today and they are, for lack of a better word, luscious. Incredibly soft and heavy, just how I like them. Can't wait to get them on my bed!

My knees are overdue for shots (getting them mid-April) so I'm dealing with a LOT of pain right now. It literally limits what I can do each day. Chronic pain is no joke, and often hidden. Believe people when they say they are in pain, even if they try to be upbeat.

It gets more ridiculous. I tried to apply to Season of Sharing for help with deposit and rent for a new apartment, and they have lowered the income level to just 50% AMI. So, one more place I can get help. I'm going to end up on the street, I fear.
