First time with the VA. I believe this is their normal diet guidelines. The Nurse I spoke to had a spiel going over it.

It is through the VA and the print outs were easily available in the clinic. That leads me to believe that is is the norm.

Sure they are four chip (semi sweet, milk chocolate, white chocolate,

Wouldn't want that for anyone. Plants that attract birds is my only idea then.

I had problems with ants before. It was when it was hanging by a metal rod only a couple feet from the ground. I moved it to a lighting cable and the feeder is about about 5ft off the ground now with no ants. Sugar feeder is on the left.
Possibility of a window feeder? Mine hasn't attracted rodents.

I get rodents here as well. It is a few and my fault for having a backyard with vegetation in the desert.
I understand the rule though. What about hummingbird feeders. I have not heard of those attracting rodents.

Awwww. They are such good looking birds and it is amazing that they breed in this dry desert that I live in. With the male and female I have had in my yard I am hopeful that there will be babies nearby.

They are good birds, even if they are obnoxiously loud.

I can look at them. Not sure how much help I would be, I am a mainly in the Southwest US and those are the birds I kind of know.

Oh jeez. I know hummingbirds here like lavender which can be grown many places. Honeysuckle has berries that multiple species here will eat. A bird bath might be an option too.
Sorry that you can't just put a feeder out.

That sucks about not being able to put out feeders. Can you put out plants that attract birds?

I have seen them in groups before, at parks and fields. Not often a visitor to my neighborhood. I have seen a couple here most of this year.

In person I think there were around a dozen. There are only 3 in the frame to my knowledge. I heard them before I saw them and if they wouldn't have ran I might not have seen them at all.

Thank you. FYI this is the last day of the bird 365 that I am doing. Not saying there won't be bird pictures in 2024 it probably won't be as many though.

Many of these birds I photograph are not in my yard. They are in the parks around me that have many trees and bushes etc.
If you have wooded area around you go out and sit in it, there are probably many birds there that are shy.

They are amazing. Wish I would have had them while I was in the Army. Those 12 mile ruck marches would have been easier.

I can not say what to do for a loss like that. I have lost others and it sucks. Do the best that you can and give yourself grace if you feel that you should do better.

You are welcome. When I started I wasn't adding info, then I figured I could share the info I was learning about the birds I was photographing. Birding gave me a subject and a reason to get out of the house regularly and off of social media.
