My personal website pet peeve is having some enormous graphic that takes a bunch of time to load and then you have to click through to get to the actual site.
(Pleased to see the worst offender of this type I can remember has changed their game so I can't post it as an example.)

I think that advice is still uber-relevant to sm business owners as a way to stand out from the noise. As someone who wants the internet to be better and who advises clients on building a great shopping experience, my advice these days is NOT to follow the big guys, but to follow their own path -fin

Sure, I don't HAVE to spend part of my day watching gold prices continue to inch up, but on the bright side, it does make me feel anxious.

If I see one more "whoops! I accidentally bought something from an AliBaba Reseller on Etsy bc it was SUCH A GOOD DEAL" I am going to lose it. If your Etsy jewelry is a "great deal" you are getting plated jewelry. It's going to fall apart & they likely used exploitative labor practices to make it.
