So after six months of physical therapy, I met with an orthopedic surgeon today and I’m having my first full knee replacement in September and the second on in Jan/Feb. I’m terrified but also so done with this fucking pain. I want to walk and hike again. I’m ready!

I am reading the book Honolulu by Alan Brennert. It starts with the story of this little Korea girl being raised in the traditional Confucianism belief system where girls have no value other than the ability to produce sons. Her name is “Regrettable”. Sounds like the GOP to me.
