Bizarre storm sequence left widespread damage + at least 2 deaths. It reminds us even "slight risk" days – where severe weather may be quite localized – can't be taken lightly.

Denver officially hit 85 today! Earliest 85+ day on record! #cowx

Denver should easily hit record highs the next 2 days. But even more note-worthy, Denver will likely have its earliest 85-degree day tomorrow (April 11th), with a forecast high of 86. The previous earliest 85+ day was 85 on April 13th, 2006. #cowx #Denver #climatechange

Let's Talk About - This piece on Charleston. I love the Low Country. Charleston is one of my favorite cities in my native state. Rich culture, great food. I'm intrigued by this theory can't take issue with any of it.

Worth the read. Although Wildfire isn't the focus, I will add, I suspect Wildfire Insurance will become a federally run program within the decade (much like Flood Insurance). Premiums have become outrageous in Colorado, and some companies are no longer insuring. #climatechange #climate

Denver has gone FIVE consecutive months below average, the longest streak since 2009! This warm-up in mid-April is going to feel balmy, maybe it will break the streak #weather #climate https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/

Tornado risk areas for Tues PM 4/4 are weirdly similar to those from Fri PM 3/31, but with some key differences—especially a shift toward strong nighttime tornadoes, some as late as 1-2 AM CDT Wed and beyond. CC_Yale
