My 11 y/o sixth grader had her first real experience with mean girls this quarter in an elective class. I emailed the teacher to ask if my kiddo could be moved to another table. I was ecstatic when the teacher said she understood and would make sure kiddo gets moved tomorrow. So thankful!

Happy #caturday ! Here's a recent pic of the three stray brothers who were living under our front porch. Beanie (the one on the right) came in last October. I finally got his bros, Tuxie and Cutie, the day after Thanksgiving. They are such loveys! Still can't believe we have 5 cats in all!

Had to turn off NPR (Nice Polite Republicans) this a.m. when they did a lovely little propaganda piece for RFK Jr. They even had a soundbite with Trump saying, "Oh, I'd vote for him if I was a Democrat. Dems should vote for him." Then they went on & on about the Kennedy legacy. 🤮🤮🤮

Had a lengthy conversation with my neighbor yesterday. She & her hubs are Catholic & Republican. But she's sick of Rs attacks on women's bodily autonomy, IVF & transgender children. She's been challenging her Catholic friends on these issues, too. I think this is happening all over. Feeling hopeful!

So, our Internet went out this morning, and I was like, "Nooo! I need to work out to my favorite trainer on YouTube!" Then I thought, why not go do two quick miles at the park? And that's what I did. It was awesome! I got to hear birds singing and see folks walking dogs. Weather is perfect. Sweet!

I took a chance and ordered a custom cushion from Amazon for $89, which is a fraction of what custom cushions usually cost to have made. Had to stretch it out when it arrived, 'cause it looked too small. But it ended up being just the right size, and the cats love it! It's now their favorite bed.😻

Finished watching Jack Ryan on Prime. Loved it! Wish they'd do more. It made me even madder re. Donnie stealing so much classified intel & putting so many in danger. The stuff that gets done behind the scenes is so scary and messy. I can't imagine wanting to do that work. But I'm glad others do.
