Anniversary dinner for 2 during Covid. Not the usual family party, but a favorite nearby restaurant did takeout with our favorite entrees so we enjoyed the #Taste of Chicken Oscar & the best crabcakes in the area. September 13, 2020 6:30 PM.

A dining table set for a takeout anniversary dinner for two with white china on gold placemats. One meal is Chicken Oscar with a baked potato and caprese salad. The 2nd meal is backfin lump crab cakes (best outside of the Eastern Shore) with coleslaw and stone ground corn bread. Add a bottle of Dark Horse Chardonnay and enjoy the taste.

After a small celebration, we used an appropriately designated carved stone drinking fountain in Rittenhouse Square, Philly, to serve a #Bottle of champagne. We recycled it all). January 29, 2016 1:30 PM.

A carved stone half-round drinking fountain, attached to a granite memorial wall in Rittenhouse Park in Philadelphia. Etched into the wall are the words Drinking Fountain Erected by Lower Market Association 1921. In the bowl of the fountain are 3 or 4 plastic glasses and an empty champagne bottle, used to toast a happy event.
We made sure we disposed of everything before we got arrested for drinking in the park LOL. January 29, 2016 1:30 P.M.

A cruise ship #Swim and snorkel excursion near Castle Island, Bermuda, Sept 16, 2008. Beautiful water, lots of fish, lovely day. Folks on the secluded beach were annoyed that we’d interrupted their au naturale tanning experience. 😳

We had the opportunity to watch Oracle Team USA practice for the America’s Cup in Bermuda. I know nothing about sailing. I do know that designing, building and sailing this sleek boat takes an incredible amount of #Skill . June 18, 2015. 2:00 PM

Oracle Team USA’s sleek black racing catamaran hydrofoils through the aqua blue waters of Bermuda’s Great Sound, practicing for the America’s Cup races. The top of her sail is embellished with the words America’s Cup and an American flag. The word Oracle runs vertically on the bottom 2/3 of the sail. The nose is painted red. Oracle is followed by a small motorized team boat.

We went to Ocean City, NJ, to visit the craft fair in the center of town, but it was so #Busy you couldn’t get near the stalls. We escaped those crowds only to find the boardwalk was almost as #Busy . October 6, 2018. 2:30 P.M.

With the October craft fair crowding in-town streets, lots of visitors made their way to the Ocean City, N.J., Boardwalk. We’re at 8th Street, with the Music Pier on the left, looking south, with large groups walking, hanging out, and window shopping at the shops stretching away on the right. Even though the sky is gray and overcast, some brightly colored storefronts and signs catch your eye. October 6, 2018. 2:30 P.M.

One of my favorite DIY Christmas decorations. After finding the perfect frame and complimentary matting, I painted each #Letter gold and glued it into place.

A rectangular, antique gold picture frame designed to hold three 5 by 7 photos. I filled each section with a burgundy mat and glued the letters J O Y into the openings.
It is a favorite D I Y Christmas decoration.

New Hope Railroad’s impressively #Large Baldwin steam locomotive #40 heads directly toward you as she leaves the station for the popular Santa excursion on December 7, 2008.

A 1925 Baldwin Consolidation type steam locomotive is heading directly toward you as she leaves the New Hope Railroad station for the popular Santa excursion on December 7, 2008. She is enveloped in steam with only her headlamp and a brass 40 circled in red on her front plate breaking up her deep black color.
The tracks curve slightly to the left. Ornamental purple cabbage plants in barrel pots add a bit of color to the bottom right.
The completely restored #40, weighing between 160,000 to 195,000 lbs (sources vary) is New Hope RR’s only working steam locomotive and is a passenger favorite.

In the cute tourist town of Helen GA, Alana Falls had a #Message on a sign at the very top of the Falls - Keep Off Water Fall. It was a little hard to see from street level. October 15, 2013.

A pretty waterfall is a must photograph site along the main street of touristy Helen GA. Water running down the landscaped rocks is bordered by stacked stone interspersed with greenery, and yellow and red flowers. Toward the top of the hill is a portion of a rail fence and a roofed open structure. A large sign mimicking a German cottage tells you this is Alana Falls.
A small black sign with white lettering is at the top of the falls. Its message is Keep off Water Fall, and cites the city code and fine for violation. The sign was difficult to see and read from street level. October 15, 2013

You never saw #Rough if you never saw the Broad Street Bullies playing at the old Spectrum. Here’s the Flyers vs some bunch of guys from north on I-95, circa 1980.
Sorry for the #Rough picture quality; flash cameras aren’t great in arena settings.

NHL Philadelphia Flyers vs NY Rangers at the old Spectrum Arena, Broad St., Philly. The Flyers were know then as the Broad Street Bullies because they always played rough.
Flyers are in their home uniforms of white top with orange lettering & black shorts, and Rangers in away uniform of blue tops and red bottoms, white lettering. Game is from around 1980. Photo is rough quality because flash cameras are not adequate in an arena setting, and it was scanned from a 35mm slide.
The Flyers are advancing toward the Rangers goalie. No idea who won, but their games are always exciting.

A #Strange and beautiful cloud formation at sunset on June 21, 2021, Philly burbs. I’d love to know what caused the straight edges on the wispy clouds.

The sun is just setting. Above silhouetted holly & evergreen trees & gray cumulus clouds in the bottom 3rd of the picture, wispy white clouds fill the middle. They are separated vertically by straight-edged wedges of blue sky. It is strange to see such geometric shapes in clouds.

I just tried to online schedule Covid and flu shots at Riteaid. They required responses for sex assigned at birth, race, and ethnicity. What does that have to do with vaccinations??? I’ll go tomorrow to schedule in person and see if they can explain the reasons for those questions.

No one wanted to be on the ground when Witchcraft was flying over to #Drop bombs. A restored WWII B-24 Liberator, with 130 complete combat missions out of Norfolk, she was part of a nationwide tour at Northeast Philadelphia Airport on August 30, 2016.

When the fast moving and destructive TS Isaias tore thru the east coast on Aug 4 ‘20, almost 3M lost #Power . We were out for 3.5 days from a tree branch hitting the lines. We were very glad to see these PECO trucks show up at 5:30 PM on Aug 7.

If you’re lucky enough to vacay in Ocean City NJ & lucky enough to have a deck at a higher #Level than yr neighbors, you have a panoramic view of rooftops stretching for blocks. I liked this almost as much as the peek of ocean view from the front of the house.

From the top level deck of a tall house, you are looking over rooftops stretching for blocks in Ocean City N.J. You are faced with the top floor of a bright yellow house with a striped awning, next to a white house with a pillared deck, then a jumble of roofs, mostly peaked, in greens, browns, and tans. One bright red roof in the center catches your eye. The sky takes up the top third of the picture, changing from a hazy white up to a soft blue. August 28, 2007, 6:30 A.M.
