History Books state that George Washington Hated slavery & freed all his enslaved. Nothing is further from the truth. Washington was a ruthless, violent & evil enslaver. He cheated laws to keep legally freed, enslaved. He willed 123 to his wife only to be freed after her death.

100 yrs before Rosa Parks, Elizabeth Jennings Graham, in 1854, was told to get off the trolley & wait for one with "her people" -“colored people”- on it. She said she didn't have people & refused to get off. Conductor threw her to ground & Police dragged her off. She sued & won.

The white Mobs destroyed the dam and buried Oscarville, its people and its history underwater. In late 1950s Buford Dam was built and Lake Lanier was formed. Today Lake Lanier is enjoyed by descendants of those white mob murderers. American history.

Have you ever heard of Oscarville in Ga? What about Lake Lanier? Most know the lake.

Oscarville was a thriving Black town until 1912, when white mobs known as night riders firebombed, massacred & drove survivors out. They then flooded & buried town under what is now Lake Lanier

The Deacons for Defense and Justice was an armed Black self defense group who stood up against the KKK and discriminatory treatment by police in the Jim Crow South.

Though the group supported the values of MLK, they didn’t subscribe to his nonviolent philosophy.

To combat the high rate of death among slaves, plantation owners demanded all females start having children at 13. By way of rapes of course. Just….. think about that. ALL were raped repeatedly.

By 20, the enslaved women would be expected to have about five children.

Muhammad Kaumi Bashir, an 11-year-old Nigerian boy, created a mini power generator that works without fuel.

On this day in 1898, Lyda A. Newman, a black hairdresser, patented a hair brush with synthetic bristles.

It was specifically made for Black hair because the previous animal hair brushes were too soft.

It also permitted easy cleaning because it had detachable units.
