It's a good sign for the future of *checks site name* blue peach.io that in the last 24 hours my timeline has seen all of two additional spoots, and all my notifications are gone except a new follow from an empty bot account.

Disappointed with this site's draconian content rules. This place already had weird vibes, this is just frosting on the weird vibes cake.

ahh, the "this new social media platform looks cool" to "man, this has absolutely rancid vibes, huh, we need something else" pipeline... I have missed you, old friend

Spoutable's user guidelines *are* sloppily written, and watching a big chunk of the site's base rush to support leadership rather than genuinely consider the critique doesn't fill me with confidence about this place's future

I guess Spoutable goes up there with Hive on "Attempted Twitter Clones that just can't hack it"

Sorry, I just saw this. lmao at the idea that moderating adult content is a nightmare but moderating *what counts as* adult content is somehow easier.

But it's cool to see the admission that this isn't about majority rule or consent or any high-minded bs, it's about money.
Christopher Bouzy @cbouzy
1. Allowing adult and explicit content will prevent us from landing certain advertisers.

2. Apple and Google will limit us.

3. Moderating the content is a nightmare.

4. It opens us up to legal liabilities.

5. This is an easy decision for me, and no amount of badgering with change it.

6. NO

on the plus side, the blue wave "team pete" liberal who has never encountered the term "sweaty" before blocked me, so my time on Spoutible hasn't been a total loss. Better than Vero!

Spoutible: Would you like a social media site that's not run by a monomaniacal weirdo who refuses to engage with criticism or disagreement? Too bad! There are other platforms for that.
Christopher Bouzy @cbouzy
The great part about Spoutible is you can block anyone for any reason. I don't owe anyone an explanation for why I blocked them. I am not interested in reading replies about a policy that was decided by the community. If folks want adult content, there are other platforms for that.

Hey, since they're only four months away again, who to have to bribe to get into one of those DC or Marvel Pride books.

I wish the decision would be made as to which social media site is going to be the one to replace Twitter, so we can all stop casting about and jumping on each new one that comes along to make sure we have our space.

That said, I like Spoutible as it's basically just a reskinned Twitter.

My proudest moment as an artist in any medium was when I stumbled upon a recipe for duck sausage and immediately said out loud “Huey, Louie, Andouille.”
