Last night was my main #dnd group. Depression almost kept me from going, but I got myself out the door. The light and life of the table brought me back to joy and reminded me of the power of connection. Grateful to have some light amid the more recent darkness.

I honestly can’t believe how quickly this site has come together. Back when the Elonization of The Other Site began, I grieved losing what I thought was irreplaceable. The other options that emerged never quite worked for me. #Spoutible is more than a replacement. It’s a dramatic improvement.

Having never played the game, I must say that enjoying The Last of Us with no expectations has been a real treat. The storytelling is unexpected and rich for the genre. It also genuinely effects the emotions. God damn.

As a gay couple, we still have to plan air travel very carefully. There are so many places we can't fly over. If we have to land, we run the risk of being put to death, imprisoned or tortured for being gay. The first time we were denied boarding as a family was at a US airport. Still happens.

On Friday the baker at the grocery store was talking about “the big game” which is when I learned that the Super Bowl was this weekend. When I finally understood what he was talking about he said, “It’s refreshing that you don’t know”. Felt good to not be judged.

My daughter attempting to comb my hair with a wooden toy hot dog, while spraying an obscene amount of strawberry-scented hair de-tangler and whisper singing “the child takes the daddy” in a creepy (maybe murdery) voice over and over again really is peak toddler.
