I went for a walk in the woods yesterday, and thought deeply. Everywhere there was life. The trees were beautiful, but also holy. Their tops veiled the sunlight from the forest floor as they touched the sky forming cathedrals of light, life and peace.

He means to find a Ronna McDaniel who is not so clearly toxic. He should take responsibility and should resign. Hiring a known liar who was actively involved in a coup against a duly elected president, is unacceptable. And he says he'll find someone else.

Corporate America is looking forward to the end of Trump roller coaster, and getting back to something like normal operation with Biden. Corporate heads will be saying they didn't like Trump, but they couldn't say anything at the time. There will be a lot of that next year. Even Lindsey Graham.

What we do not have in the UK are serious political leaders. Gordon Brown was the last one of those. Nobody since, left or right, has been anything other than a partisan cartoon figure. Of course, there are serious people in high positions, but they are not running the government.
