#SpoutibleMakes The body of the flag afghan my grandson requested is finished. Now to make the individual stars and sew them on. The pattern calls for 50, but I’m thinking of doubling that and sewing them to both sides of the blue field. We’ll see how it goes.

#SpoutibleCooks I’ve never been much of a cook. The most elaborate thing I’ve made is to assemble a homemade lasagna. This is my first try at making croquettes using leftover turkey. I took a shortcut and used prepared loaded mashed potatoes to form them, then baked them.

#SpoutibleCooks I made my mushroom soup using the recipe attached. I lightened it up a bit, substituting fat free evaporated milk for the heavy cream called for in the recipe. It’s good!

I opened my eyes this morning & saw my dogs’ happy faces. I made my morning coffee & I can smell the rich aroma wafting thru the air. I can hear my son cussing a blue streak at his video game. I feel a bit of a chill in the air so I cover my legs with a soft gray blanket. Good morning, everyone!

Years ago, at a family Thanksgiving with all our siblings and their families, I was tasked with making the dinner biscuits. You know the ones - you pop open the paper can and throw them on a baking sheet. Well, I didn’t watch them closely enough and they got a bit browned (burned) on the bottom.

My husband grew up in a family that didn’t celebrate Christmas. So now he’s the guy who’s hanging Christmas lights on the house & putting up the outdoor decor the day after Thanksgiving. Gotta love him!
