I think this is just tied to my email somehow? No weird transactions on my debit or credit card. I also get weird baby samples in the mail and my kids are 19 and 17. I think someone has a very similar email address and they occasionally give out mine instead.

Yes. We have been married for 22 years.

1. Financial support. Though we both have good jobs, his still pays more. Grrr.

2. Emotional support. He's the first person I talk to about most things.

3. When our kids were young, he did a LOT of heavy lifting with parenting.

I like the percentage idea.

I learned to answer the phone and lie that my mom wasn't there unless it was someone that I knew. I became the gatekeeper so that she wouldn't have to talk to the bill collectors.

I don't remember ever not having food when I was growing up, but apparently my mom served tiny portions. I didn't realize that until I moved in with my now husband and started cooking for him. He was shocked that a family of four made a meal out of one box of Hamburger Helper and pickle spears.

I get that. My dad was the only one that worked, so he simply wasn't home that often. We were never especially close, but it wasn't because of a specific reason. I think he kept in the tradition of a lot of dads at that time, who made the money and left everything else to the mom.

The light thing is a pet peeve of mine, but that's not really because of the cost.

My childhood home didn't have air conditioning, and had radiant ceiling heat, which had blown out in the majority of the rooms and was never replaced/repaired.

That's helpful. I did go with my mom to the grocery store frequently, but she never explained if she kept to a budget, or what percentage of my dad's income (she didn't work) was being spent on food.

My parents didn't until I was moved out and had a family of my own, and when they did, it was because they wanted a handout. But I was aware for a very long time, and paid for quite a lot from age 16 on.

There's a definite distinction between scaring the crap out of your kids and trying to teach them how to be responsible with money.

Maybe he lumped a lot of things into the lunch category that he didn't want to list out? But at least I think he tried?????

Or he could be like my hubby, who likes to exaggerate how much money we DIDN'T have when our girls were younger.

It wasn't in my house, either. But it was pretty easy for me to figure out as I got older. I knew my family had signifcantly less than many of my classmates'.

I'm sorry.

I haven't spoken with my parents in over a decade, and I moved 10 hours away without telling them, but that's a different story for a different day.

I grew up firmly on the lower end of lower middle class. I never remember not having food, but my parents drove old crappy cars and my first car cost $100. Really. Our house was in disrepair. Once I started working at 16, I paid for A LOT of my own stuff.

Good old Godspell. We performed this musical my sophomore year of high school. My solos were the Sartre lyrics in "Tower of Babble" and the lead in "Day By Day". Great memories.

My scratch is on the inside screen of the ZFold4, which is notoriously fragile. I am not sure if there is a protector made for that, as it would have to bend. The outside screen does have a protector but my phone was open when it happened.

Doesn't matter what network or platform they're on. It kind of seems like the equivalent of using a stock photo. Somewhere, some lady is making a living recording songs about being a boss and rising to the top.

It didn't take hours, but it felt like I used every freaking dish, pot, and pan that I own! This is the second recipe that I've tried and it does taste better than the first. My daughter loves the stuff, though, so I keep making it because I am too nice.
