They clarified this. Nothing in their initial release mentioned surge pricing. That was media interpretation. Basically just allowing individual stores to offer special discounts or highlight specific items on the fly.

You can blame this on decades of spy movies and TV shows where the hacker sits at the computer, pushes 4 keys, and says "I'm in."

Thank you. Meanwhile I have an appt with a specialist for a different issue in March. I scheduled that in November. Yet people love to talk about if we had universal Healthcare like the rest of the civilized world we'd have to wait to see a specialist. What do they call 5 months?

This is the type of logic that should be used instead of "we need to counter the GOP" I mean...we do...but that is not a legal or logical basis for doing something. Balancing the case loads of the court by having 1 dedicated justice per district is a legal and logical point.

I have always said we already have term limits. They are called elections. Politics is a job. We should treat it like one. Person doesn't do the job? Fire them in the next election. But arbitrary "firing" just because makes no sense.

Unfortunately the problem is not wokeness but economics. My hubby was once an avid collector (we have CASES of comics). But the cost simply got to be too much. Particularly compounded by the constant reboots that negate what you previously read.

Piggybacking on this: many companies have programs where they match employee donations. I was able to get my day job to add our local food bank to the approved list. Now when they get my monthly donation it is matched by my employer.

My mother-in-law about had a heart attack when my hubby joked he was going to take my surname. She had this weird delusion that when we married I'd not only take his name but develop a sudden, irrational desire to procreate.

As far as I am concerned, Covid is here to stay. I will get the annual booster, just like I do with the flu shot. I will continue to mask in stores and crowded areas where I can't maintain distance. If I don't feel well, I will stay the Hell home and test if I think I've been exposed.

This reminds me of something I read years ago about Exodus 22:18. Apparently, the original word doesn't translate to "witch," but rather a specific TYPE of magic user that uses magic to kill people. Most likely some sort of necromancy.

I learned long ago that when people promote "adult" content what they are really promoting is hyper-sexualized, exploitive, misogynistic content meant for emotionally-stunted cisgender males. Most actual adults don't find the content "friendly" at all.

A lot of people were so terrified of the idea of a woman following the first black president they voted for the completely unqualified white man instead. I'm sure this calculation was in Biden's head when he decided to run for reelection. Kamala at the top of the ticket risks a repeat :(

The root issue is that a not small portion of the population was so terrified of following the first black president with the first woman president that they would have voted for any white cishet male no matter how unqualified...and they did.

It is the wrong question. If we had the political backbone to hold justices and politicians to the same laws as the rest of us, this would be a non-issue because certain justices and politicians would be in jail. Expanding does nothing to fix the fundamental root problem.
