Sorry, the ALT text appears to have gone missing after I edited the aforementioned spout to workaround a Spoutible bug.

You can obtain the text of the statement from #Apple at https://9to5mac.com/2024/0...

One shouldn't expect to be politically polled given sample sizes. Here's an overview of how political polling works – https://scienceexchange.ca... FiveThirtyEight.com's mean of Iowa caucus polling would need a 3-sigma error for Trump to lose.😓

Haley smokes Biden in the CBS/YouGov poll (and others) in part because more women say they'll vote for her. Haley & Trump have the best Republican positions on abortion for the general that I think will blunt any advantage for Biden on that topic. It'll really suck if Trump gets the Republican nom.

#Spoutible is short-form like #Twitter but isn't a dumpster fire. My handle was also available; #FirstWave .😄I hope social media managers help make Spoutible worth their time. Perhaps that'll happen when there's advertisers. I think it'd be insightful to get more intellectual conservatives here too.

There's a lot of not-so-great and outright bad tech journalism out there.🙄Just look back at what it took for Apple to avoid being crapped on by tech reporters as being beleaguered and niche. Apple had Steve Jobs! And then Tim Cook had to prove that Apple was still doing quite nicely post Jobs.🤦‍♂️

If by "help Dems" you mean Ramaswamy helps Trump win the GOP nom then I can see that…I don't have any desire to run against Trump. It'd be really😱if the GOP nominates Trump. Trump doesn't guarantee a Biden win—especially if a Trump nom activates a No Labels 3rd choice in states with slim margins.😬

This crowdfunding idea would be more attractive if the 10% stake is carved out so it's protected from being washed out by future investments. It'd be optically nice if Spoutible becomes a Benefit Corporation too. It'd also be awesome if Spoutible could plug into #Brave 's #bat ad rev share ecosystem.

It'd be awesome if #Spoutible were first (?) to use #ai to generate #AltText suggestions. Some photo apps like #Apple Photos automatically OCR text in images that can be highlighted, copied & pasted into Spoutible which is great when there's a lot of text to transcribe in an image like a screenshot.

If you're using an #IPHONE older than a 2015 6s, you should strive to upgrade to a newer model because you're no longer receiving regular #Security updates from #Apple . 8+ years of support is—by far—an industry-leading amount of time for a #Smartphone . 81% of #iOS /#iPadOS devices use iOS 16; 13% 15.

I had no idea Nemeth/Star Productions existed until now. We most likely wouldn't have crossed paths on Mastodon. Their approach to federation ironically makes them less accessible to the masses. Regardless, you can always choose both, especially as social media management tools add support for them.

I would prioritize iOS first too.

I didn't have a megalomanic billionaire buying the bird site on my bingo card when I decided to use it as a sort of blog on my domain. Somehow my old TypePad blog still lives on under its Web.com overlords—even outlasting Apple's iTools/.Mac/MobileMe. RIP HomePage.

This pokes a hole in my theory the Zuck vs. Musk MMA match was waiting for Mark to re-launch #Threads so he could co-live-stream the event with #Twitter . I admit that I would pay to watch a cage fight between two tech billionaires.😁Elon would likely get beat but maybe he'd land a lucky crotch kick.

My feedback to @mdowney :

I thought #Threads is [a] condition for the Zuck v. Musk MMA match. My money is on Mark given that he interestingly got into Brazilian jiu-jitsu during COVID. #elon 's best bet is to ambush his billionaire opponent with a crotch kick or maybe get Jax rocket arms from SpaceX.

Hopefully they won't be jaded or apathetic when they reach voting age…😅I know too many young/people who don't vote.😞The top excuse I get is voting doesn't matter.🤦‍♂️I can see how they feel that for certain races being in California. Actual reasons incl. laziness & taking democracy for granted.😔

It'd be interesting to dig into the data of the Figure 1.4 chart because the null-model is relatively flat up to the Great Recession.🧐(The UNDP report doesn't shed much light on Figure 1.4.) Based on the timings, I suspect the Internet, social media and smartphones have been a double-edged sword.😅

I can totally empathize with this as someone who is testing a new, overdue iOS app and finding way too many issues at this stage.😅(I'm glad we're only starting with iOS/iPad OS—not looking forward to Android hell…) It'll be nice timing for Spoutible if the app hits the App Store during WWDC week.😎
