The #GOP has a problem with independent and moderate republican voters. The solution the #RNC and #RonnaMcDaniel came up with is to shut down primaries and declare #Trump the winner. Haley voters are not going to suddenly become Trump voters. This is a recipe for another losing cycle.

Hearing Gary Tuchman on #CNN tell a South Carolina voter “we’ve had presidents since George Washington” had me falling out of bed laughing. I’m sure he didn’t mean it as condescending as it sounded, but it was funny to me.

#DeSantis spent all of his political capital on this race. He will be out of the news cycle after 2026. He will have nothing to run on come 2028. IF he decides to run again, the results will be the same. He was given poor strategic advice during this campaign.

I think the #DNC and #BidenCampaign need to take a different approach with some of the reluctant Biden voters ahead of November. The 2028 primary field is going to be stacked. Newsom, Shapiro, maybe Buttigieg or even Hochul. Ask them for one more dance with Biden.

The House #GOP is treating Congress like the Oprah Winfrey Show, handing out impeachments to everyone in the audience. The cavalierness with which they toss them around shows how unserious they are about actual governance. Personally, I think it diminishes the threat and effectiveness of that power.

The Roberts-led #SCOTUS already faces a number of ethical concerns. #Trump mouthpieces going on TV subtly encouraging them to rule in his favor puts them in a tight box. They had to take the CO ballot case, but I think it puts them in a troubling position.

In fairness to #LizCheney , I don’t know what she’s actively doing behind the scenes to prevent the election of #DonaldTrump . I do know books and editorials will not be enough to stop the things she warns about in her writings. Supporting candidates #GOP or #Democrat that oppose him is the only way.
