New #Goosebumps Book Review!

How I Learned to Fly was an unexpected entry in the series. It wasn't perfect, but I really enjoyed the ending and the powerful little message at the book's core.

New #Goosebumps Review! Beware, the Snowman did an excellent job at building an atmosphere, but it relied too heavily on faulty character logic and delivered an unsatisfying twist at the end.

New #BookReview ! The New Year’s Party was the first #FearStreet book I read as a kid, so this was a very nostalgic return to Shadyside. It did not hold up especially well. It had a lot of great ideas at play but the execution left a lot to be desired.

New Book Review! The Babysitter IV closes out the quadrilogy on a high note. It rushed the ending a bit too much for my liking, but I enjoyed this more than any of the other sequels. #RLStine #FearStreet #PointHorror #Books

ERMAHGERD #47 : Legend of the Lost Legend. I had a lot of fun shooting this one last weekend. It was really difficult to pick just one photo. Special thanks to the Mx Harriet Tugsmen for lending time, energy, & creativity to this. #Goosebumps

New #Goosebumps #BookReview !

Legend of the Lost Legend was a bit of a mess. I liked more of it than I didn’t, especially the dark twist at the end. It was also a relief to read a book where the primary source of horror wasn’t clueless parents.

New #FearStreet #BookReview !

The last book of the Cataluna Chronicles surprised me in that it was better than the second book. It managed to deliver an entertaining and (mostly) satisfying conclusion, even if I was frustrated by parts of it.

The #FearStreet Cataluna Chronicles finally answered my burning question: how exactly did a sports car come to be haunted by the ghost of a seventeenth century witch/shapeshifter who loves murder?

There are many ways to find out. My review is one of them:

New #FearStreet book review! Kicking off The Cataluna Chronicles trilogy with The Evil Moon. I read these as a kid but I did not recall a lot from them The book itself isn’t perfect but it was still a solid kick off for a trilogy and I enjoyed reading it.

Yet another #Goosebumps #BookReview .

How to Kill a Monster was a bit of a mess. This was in no small part due to the plot relying on Gretchen and Clark having the absolute worst grandparents ever.

I did like how gross the monster was, though.

I’m back on my bullshit with a new #Goosebumps #bookreview ! Ghost Camp was almost great, but it left me with too many unanswered questions. I’m going to do a ranking of the worst Goosebumps parents when I finish this series. Henry’s parents will make the list.

New #BookReview ! The Beast 2 was better than a lot of Stine sequels, but that isn’t saying much. I realized it made one significant mistake early on that prevented it from distinguishing itself from the first book. #Goosebumps

New #Goosebumps book review! Say Cheese and Die — Again! was a lackluster sequel that didn’t try anything new, relied on problematic body horror, and delivered a particularly unsatisfying twist at the end. My full review is up on the blog:

New Book Review! Fear Street #25 : One Evil Summer was a really fun book. It was unhinged in all the best ways, and it checked off all the things that I have grown to love about Fear Street.

NEW BOOK REVIEW! Lois Duncan’s Stranger with My Face was deceptively long, but I’m a sucker for a good slow-burn. Also I found out there’s a Lifetime Original movie adapted from it. I included my bullet review of that too. Read it all on the blog:

New #FEARSTREET book review! Just in time for the trend of prom season. The Prom Queen follows a familiar Fear Street formula, but I think it endedup being better (and bloodier) than most.

Here’s the pitch: a mechanical genius builds a bunch of robots, disguises himself as a janitor, and then open up a piano school that murders children and steals their hands.

New #FEARSTREET #BookReview ! Switched might be the most frustrating book I’ve read in the series. It started out with such a wild and engaging premise, then it was all undone with an unnecessary second-act twist. The full review is on my blog:
