There may be more revenue in EPL, but those clubs aren’t all profitable either

Right. It’s in Qatar, who was playing in the opening match. If the locals don’t care about the national team outside of a World Cup, then why would the rest of the world. I hope Japan destroys them

Whenever I eat with a large group, the tip is always automatically included in the bill. Kinda hard to believe Rainforest Cafe doesn’t do that also

They chose that many so Saudi Arabia can host in 2034. By spreading the hosts among three confederations, it becomes Asia’s “turn” again

I’ve been a fan of Southend United ever since I discovered them while playing FIFA. Watching Welcome to Wrexham finally explained why I didn’t see them in the game anymore. Had no clue the non-league existed

Interestingly enough, Japan is similar to the US in that they also have high school and college teams. They just incorporated the schools into the soccer ecosystem. They're used in their academy structure. US Soccer really needs to look at what Japan did.

Honestly, I wish Hermoso would have reacted like my wife. Which would be to immediately punch him in the face or hit him in the crotch. THAT would have been quite the statement on the world stage

Spanish football is going through some things. This is just a continuation of the women’s team complaints. Then there’s the racism that came to a head last season with Vini Jr. They can’t just fire Rubiales because of legal issues. He has been provisionally suspended tho

I’m so torn. Miami plays CLTFC the last home game of the season. I could finally see Messi live. Or I could sell my tickets and probably pay for next year’s season ticket package

Interesting. I think the “billionaire” side would fail in the long term though. Personally, I have season tickets for Charlotte FC. If Charlotte Independence (USL) was in a pro/rel pyramid, I’d buy tickets for them instead. Much rather support a pro/rel related team

“States rights “ is one of the biggest education cons ever. Slavery was legal in the US. The north wanted the “state right” to not be forced to send runaway slaves back down south

I agree. And I think eventually it will fail like the USFL. Especially if the domestic leagues expel them.

The more I think about it, the more I'm for the ESL. Let the owners get rid of those silly "fair play" rules. They can spend as much as they want, how they want in their teams. Let the domestic leagues keep the heart of sport

If the ESL implodes and teams want to rejoin their domestic leagues, they should have to start at the bottom and work their way back up. Which means my beloved Chelsea, if they joined the ESL, would have to start back in the FA at level 9, at the highest, which is non-league

Personally, I think the big clubs should break off. And like HITC Sevens, I feel they should have to forfeit their memberships in the their domestic leagues.
