Years ago, my son worked for a chain fitness center as a personal trainer, and THEY wanted him to sign a non-compete agreement. He never signed, they kept him on anyway. He ultimately left for other reasons.

While not in the path of totality, I saw 90% coverage. The clouds held out until after the peak. They came and went during the sun's re-emergence. Unfortunately they were quite heavy at the very end. Totally enjoyed the experience even though I had to bop in and out to get work done.

Don't look at the sun during the eclipse (or any time), unless you are 100% sure it is totally eclipsed by the moon or you have proper protection. Even 1% exposure can cause permanent damage to your retinas causing blindness.

I'm in Westchester, NY. Not only did I FEEL my house shake, but I HEARD the Earth moving - it sounded like a huge truck driving by. The Crows in my yard warned me - they were cawing like crazy shortly before it happened. I didn't know what they were trying to warn me about until afterward.
