Not sure if I've posted this shot before, but its one of my all time favourites - so forgive me if I have.
Single shot, DSLR camera, no editing except for dust removal and slight EV adj. Taken using long exposure and zooming with the barrell lens. This took well over 100 tries to get right.

Conch Key Motel (2011)
The news of Jimmy Buffett passing kinda hit me hard. I'm from Florida and we used to go to the keys a lot when I was a kid. His music was everywhere.
This motel reminds me a lot of those days. Nothing fancy, just a really cool locale with some fun people and great food.

Alluvial Fan - Rocky Mountain National Park, CO (2016)
Got a chance to visit the Rockies again in 2016 when I visited my brother. This place was really interesting - a landslide years previous had taken out a large chunk of the mountainside and a river had formed where there previously wasn't one.

I have these flowers in my front yard. I'm not sure what they're called but they look kinda like broccoli and they are the last ones to bloom for the year before winter comes.
Anyway, the bees love them in the fall. And they don't seem to mind me taking their pictures either :)

Fall abstraction (2021)
It seems like it's been a long time since I took any photos that I deem "serious" with a big DSLR.
I think tiredness from working too much might be the culprit.
Here's a fun series I've been doing for around 15 years or so - painting with light and making abstract shapes.

I still edit my photos the old-fashioned way, by hand. Mostly dust removal, and in this instance a BW filter.
Tech that's 12 years old seems ancient now. I do wonder if I should leap forward and see what's happening in 2023 tech lol
