This issue highlights the film: "David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet." An important 2020 film that is at once beautiful, informative, sad and ultimately hopeful.
"This film is my witness statement, and my vision for the future. The story of how we came to make this, our greatest mistake.

Unfortunately and increasingly, in the fight against climate change, we have to deal with and fight back against massive, strategic & well funded, media and social media campaigns designed to mislead and confuse the public — voters.

We are halfway through the big, complicated, problematic, promising and very important COP28.
So issue #13 of Climate Horizons focuses heavily on what is happening in Dubai, as well as warranted concerns and criticisms.
(And there's other good stuff below that.)

COP28 is the focus of this issue, but also "the great carbon divide" and four different pieces that focus on reasons to be optimistic and hopeful in the face of our climate change crisis and challenges.

Disturbing. Sad. Not surprising.
But damn good this is out now, as COP28 gets underway.
COP28 is still a very important gathering and opportunity. In a strange way, perhaps these revelations will help.
SUBTITLE: "New revelations show just how bad the oil countries really are"

EXCERPT: Electric vehicles are like digital cameras in their early iterations. They are already better than the alternative for almost everyone, and improving at a breathtakingly fast clip.

Happy Thanksgiving from me, Kacy and Climate Horizons!
Excellent content for you this week.
Climate Horizons is designed for you...if you understand the crisis is real, is caused by human activity, poses a serious threat and that we have to do something about it.

I’m 65. I started doing environmental work 41 years ago. A lot of people in their sixties and seventies and beyond have been in this fight for a long time. I love the way Bill captures the need for us to stay in the fight AND support the younger activists. We need each other.
