Things were a little tense a few years ago when I was making this chocolate fudge cake with raspberry buttercream. I was so afraid that the layers were going to crack as I was stacking them, and it was so warm in my kitchen that the buttercream started to melt! 😅

I’m always surprised by the number of people following me, it keeps growing too 😳 but also by the number of people following who have zero spouts. I understand if you don’t have a lot to say, I often don’t, even a spout that says hello would be a good start. Doesn’t have to be a lot.

The good: I did lose a fair amount of weight since last summer.
The bad: if I add my phone and wallet to my pockets, my shorts don’t stay up and will fall off.
Still bad: making that discovery while grocery shopping and having my hands full.
Worst: I like these shorts. ☹️

I can not begin to explain how annoying it is having my parents send me reels about how to be a better parent. Like, maybe they should have considered these things when I was a kid and not assume I’m doing the same shit they did. It’s infuriating.

Making meringue cookies on a humid day could spell disaster! They could end up being soft & sticky instead of dry & crispy. Luckily, when I made these cotton candy flavored meringue cookies the weather cooperated & they turned out fine!
