Gut punching, visceral theatre. I sobbed, and I am murderously
angry. What a play.
Jodie Comer is a force.

I have one of those birthdays that end with an ‘0’ on the horizon, so I started celebrating early with a commission from one of my favorite artists, Marc Gooderham.
Marc perfectly captured my favorite London South Bank concrete box, The National Theatre. I love it. Thank you, Marc!

Another day, another piece of atmospheric Marc Gooderham artwork has made its way across the Atlantic.
You can see more of his beautiful work, here: https://www.marcgooderham....
Now, to frame it!

I’ve spent the last couple of weeks listening to the audiobook of this one.
Written and narrated by historian Janina Ramirez, Femina is a reappraisal of medieval femininity, revealing the women written out of history and why they matter.
It is both infuriating and fascinating!
Highly recommended.

A full house on Friday eve for the start of the emotionally charged musical ’Rent’ at the Palace Theatre in Manchester, NH.
The Palace is a small nonprofit community theatre, presenting Broadway quality shows, thanks to some brilliant grassroots support.

The Canadian invasion of New Hampshire continued tonight with a wonderful show by Dave Gunning in Peterborough.
For beautifully crafted, emotionally resonant songwriting and instrumental virtuosity, there are few who can compare.

A Lovely evening seeing Canadian singer/songwriter David Francey on the 1st date of his US tour in New London, New Hampshire.
I hadn’t seen David since I interviewed him in 2009, so it was a delight to catch up with him.
He was as warm and open as ever, and the show was fabulous. Travel well, Si

Beastly, by Keggie Carew, is a heartfelt love letter to the natural world, written with passion & humor.
But more than that, Beastly is a warning of the consequences of our evermore unbalanced relationship with our environment.
It is a must read for anyone who cares about the future of our plane
