Today we ate at Canova, Federico Fellini's favorite place. He lived nearby and even had an office in the back. The inside has stills from his films, posters, photos, his cartoons. A lovely alfresco lunch, and one that gave us some dreamy modern cultural history.

We had lunch today in Rome's Monti neighborhood, at La Taverna dei Fori Imperiali. It's a family-run place but with pics of superstar customers on the walls, like movie icons Al Pacino & Robert DeNiro. I was most impressed with the rock gods: Bruce Springsteen, Billy Corgan & Lou Reed!
