The Sculpey-coated tree I just baked is too tall for our oven, so I turned it sideways and braced it with a tower of foil to keep the roots from bending. An old trick from my ceramics days. Disorienting as hell to be using those again #MonsterPictureBook #kidlit #kidlitart #picturebooks

I'm dealing with TLA envy by working on this tree for the #MonsterPictureBook , and it's a useful and effective coping mechanism since getting that book published is what will ultimately give me the chance to get back to events like TLA, but oof, people, it's not easy, the struggle is real #kidlit

Last night I made a mistake on Steven's new armature - I didn't lock down the threaded rod connecting his hips, so his legs swivel front to back in a very wrong way - but I'd already decided this wasn't his final iteration, so...eh?
